Situation:

As a Product Owner, I was tasked with overseeing the development of an intuitive and responsive client portal for my company. The client portal was required to be secure and efficient, accessible for clients and their customers, allowing them to book and modify appointments, upload files, and have compatibility with tele-visit functionality. To accomplish this, I led a team of five resources comprising of developers, quality analysts, and UI developers.

Task:

My primary responsibility was to ensure that the client portal met all the requirements set out by the company. To achieve this, I needed to understand the user needs and preferences by conducting user interviews and feedback collection. This information was used to create user personas and wireframes in Aha! in collaboration with the CEO. I also had to manage the project using Aha! and Jira applications for roadmap creation, backlog management, and prioritization of user stories. During development, I led the team and ensured that the client portal was intuitive, responsive, and compatible with tele-visit functionality.

Action:

To gather user requirements, I conducted user interviews and feedback collection using custom forms. I created user personas and wireframes in Aha! and collaborated with the CEO for a clear idea of the client portal's look and function. I worked with an external consultant for UI designs and managed the team to ensure that the development process was in line with the client's expectations. I utilized Aha! and Jira for project management, agile methodology, and product roadmap creation.

Result:

The project was completed successfully within the set timeline and budget. The client portal was integrated with the parent application and met all the requirements set out in the project. The responsive and lean design ensured that the client portal was fast and efficient while being compatible with tele-visits functionality. The login portal for clients and their customers ensured that the client portal was secure and only accessible to authorized users. To measure project success, we analyzed the number of users using the client portal, customer satisfaction scores, and system performance.

In conclusion, my role as a Product Owner was crucial in ensuring that the client portal was intuitive, responsive, secure, and efficient. By utilizing hard and soft skills and tools such as user personas, wireframes, Aha!, and Jira for project management, we were able to create a client portal that provided a great user experience.
